The designer and the client is right but the years is wrong. The Tikulik shakers were designed fort the Expo 67 in Montréal. Some were made in solid silver and gold plated with the canadian arms engraved in them as official presents to foreign dignitaries. The product itself was very successful…to the point that the producer could not handle it anymore and gave up. (the acrylic bodies were hand cast and finished…150.000 pieces later it became just to much, but because of the large differences in thickness the pieces could not be injection moulded)

Hello, Just to clarify, the designer was indeed Marcel Girard of the firm ‘Girard, Bruce et Associés’. The patent was registered by Lacoste who also participated on the project.
