Porter Airlines has made a bold and confident entrance into the rocky business of air travel. The company uses design as a distinguishing feature of the brand and has applied this thinking to all of the consumer touchpoints. Design can be seen everywhere, from the food to the seating and website. The flight staff have been outfitted by Canadian fashion label Pink Tartan. As the designer Kim Newport-Mimran says “I took inspiration from an era when traveling was elegant. The uniforms are classic styles that I have redesigned to have a modern aesthetic taking into account every detail. The fabric, cut, styling and functionality of each piece, even down to the pill box hat, will let people know that they are traveling in style with Porter Airlines.”
