With an obvious television inspiration this test pattern plate design wants to provide us with a moment of reflection while on the couch in front of our own black boxes. The design tries to inspire the diner to actually spend time enjoying their food rather than eating without thinking and blankly staring at a TV. A little bit of a stretch conceptually but a noble effort to expose and question a widespread and numbing behaviour, and to insert design as a helpful tool to question the world around us.
