Len Thompson, a returned First World War soldier and farmer, developed his first signature spoon in Abernethy, Saskatchewan, in 1929. Frustrated after many years trying manufactured lures he produced his own version. Always looking for better results, Len carried a file and ball peen hammer in his tackle box to perfect his prototypes. By adding a sophisticated combination of shape and weight, the spoon created an irresistible flicker in the water that caused more fish to strike. Canada’s freshwater lakes are home to a voracious predator known as the Northern Pike. Those who seek the thrill of hunting the aggressive Jack fish. know there is only one lure that produces the best results, the No. 00- Len Thompson spoon. – Greg Ball
