It is difficult to imagine the constraints that this building project would have overcome – temperatures from extreme cold to warm summers, heavy wind load, high UV, cost to operate and maintain, even the simplest supplies like screws and glue would have to be shipped in, but within all these realistic issues, a little modular beauty emerged. It would be easy to build a bunker, but the designers managed to make a remarkable creation that looks right at home on the ice, actually, it looks like it was made of snow. This is extreme architecture.
