Opened by astronaut Neil armstrong (with a cement footprint in the viewing/observation deck to prove it), this structure was the tallest building in the province until the recent Wall Centre (2001). The tower was designed to house the Vancouver Coast Guard Radio who benefit from the 360 degree views. Additionally, the building also houses a public observation deck and the “Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant” and is one of the cities top tourist locations.
