General Motors Canada issued a variety of commemorative items to workers in celebration of particularly long careers with the company. This collection of pins represents the careers of three generations of the Rowden family.

John Morgan earned the pin on the right for working more than twenty years as a pinstriper in the Oshawa paint shop between approximately 1914 and 1934.

Ralph Rowden started work in 1934, first on the line and later as a general foreman. He was awarded the ring in the centre upon his retirement in 1973. Rings were awarded for twenty-five years of service, with a diamond for each additional five years.

Jim Rowden earned the small pin for a career on the line and in sales at GM that lasted from 1963 to 2000.
