André Morin’s greatest hit – the first model in his Forma Collection strikes an easy balance between flashiness and restraint. Those white boxes are about as simple as it gets (a manufacturers dream), but it’s amazing what a pedestal and some well placed colour can achieve. More than forty years later this is still an attention getter.
Apparently, RCA Victor was a bit intimidated by Morin’s design at first, but once convinced they were not disappointed. The first production run of five thousand units sold out in just a month and the Forma went on to become RCA’s number one seller in Canada.
