BARF! You are kidding me, this is what Canadian fashion has come to. Man I love Coupland’s work but this is self indulgent for Roots and Coupland. I hope that I am proven wrong but who is buying these? I am proCanada design, but this stuff is a little over the top.

I think of these more as art work than fashion lane items. If you imagine that these are Coupland’s latest project (which they are) and saw them in a gallery, we might be swooning about them. It is a rough translation from art work to consumables, but Coupland is trying, giving Roots a much needed cool factor. Brave and creative departure for Roots and another Canadian themed design offer…all good from where I stand.
