Airlines are an old style industry that are struggling to adjust to the current trends in eco action. This is not because consumers haven’t been asking (they are and so are governments) but because the current designs of getting a plane into the air are massively wasteful. This is all about to change. Leading the rush to make their form of travel more efficient is Bombardier who recently created a 20% more fuel-efficient jet than their top competitors (20% less carbon dioxide and 50% less nitrogen oxide, the C Series will have the smallest carbon footprint of any current single aisle jet), a truly staggering achievement. The market has already responded with large orders coming from Global airline companies like Lufthansa.
