Built without environmentally insensitive foam, this bench uses the bulk and pleats of additional fabric to create cushioning and structure. The folds and hems add up to a significant style detail and permit the overall shape to be leaner and athletically refined. I am unclear on the benefits (like latex foam vs the manufacturer of three times the textile needed in this piece) of this strategy but applaud the “outside the box” thinking and the ongoing search to innovate in the furniture sector.
