These pieces are from a set of Canadian ceramics that BMP did with some of Ontario First Nations band. The collaboration had BMP making the bare, unglazed vessels and the artists completed the work with indigenous symbols, colours and markings.  The artist on these pieces is Daphne Odjig from Manitoulin Island, the most celebrated female artist of the Woodland movement, often called ” Picasso’s Grandmother”. The line did not do great on the market during its launch but has subsequently become a major magnet for collectors and fans.
