This design studio have created some significant interest in Canadian inspired work and have been one of the shapers of a Canadian design vernacular. Busy as bees, they have a real doozer mentality and just keep producing interesting projects, from furniture to installations, and more. There seems to be no stopping their progress. This piece must have been a nightmare to produce and goes against most of the “proper” design rules. It is tough to make (hacked limestone), is difficult to ship (heavy) and is slow to produce but really, who cares. Put this into place and forget about it, no one will steal it and any abuse it receives will probably only add to the narrative.
