Hand-painted signs. Love ’em. Here’s one. I spotted this at the sports field in little Tilting, on Fogo Island, Newfoundland. Tilting is a very interesting community beautifully documented by architect Robert Mellin in his book Tilting: House Launching, Slide Hauling, Potato Trenching and Other Tales from a Newfoundland Fishing Village (Princeton Architectural Press). – Gerry L’Orange
